The 4th International Conference on Data Science and Management (ICDSM-2025) took place on 19–20 December 2025 at the Gandhi Institute for Education and Technology (GIET) in Baniatangi near Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Its theme was data engineering and business intelligence in science, engineering and management.
Data engineering makes raw data usable for data scientists and business teams, so that they can build predictive models and show short- and long-term trends. Business intelligence looks at how the data an organisation collects affects its operations and profitability.
My keynote was titled “Cybersecurity for SMEs: Practical Penetration Testing Strategies for Limited Budgets”.
I have worked with ICDSM for years and co-edited the Springer volumes “Advances in Data Science and Management” from the 2019, 2021 and 2024 editions.
