On 29 March 2025, at the 2nd International Conference on Computing Systems & Intelligent Applications (ComSIA 2025) and the 6th Doctoral Symposium on Computational Intelligence (DOSCI 2025), I gave the talk “Methods of Cybersecurity Audits in Public Institutions and Business”.
I spoke about structured and responsible approaches to security audits, and how public institutions and companies can adapt to modern threats by aligning with international standards and national regulations. I covered the practical implementation of:
- ISO/IEC 27001,
- the GDPR,
- the NIS2 Directive,
- KRI, the Polish National Interoperability Framework.
After my talk, Nikolas Papenfus, a UJW student and chair of the Infotronik club, showed the practical side of security assessments with a live demonstration of widely used penetration testing tools:
- Kali Linux for active security testing,
- OWASP ZAP for web vulnerability analysis,
- Flipper Zero for physical security audits, wireless signal testing, RFID and NFC emulation and BadUSB simulation.
Nikolas stressed the role of ethical hacking and the growing importance of offensive security tools in proactive defence, especially in critical infrastructure and IoT-rich environments. Our joint presentation covered not only the technology but also the ethical, legal and educational challenges of teaching and practising cybersecurity.
Taking part in ComSIA 2025 was a milestone for the Infotronik club and shows Jan Wyżykowski University’s commitment to international collaboration and practical cybersecurity education.
