The conference covered the latest trends in data management, information retrieval and digital security. The topics included:
- managing and analysing large data sets (Big Data),
- natural language processing and machine learning,
- applications in healthcare, e-commerce, bioinformatics and crisis management,
- information security, the Internet of Things, recommender systems and scalable data architectures.

The conference papers were published in “Frontiers in Data Engineering and Retrieval Systems” (Springer, 2026, STEAM-H series, ISSN 2520-193X), which I co-edited. The series is indexed in Scopus, Mathematical Reviews and zbMATH, among others.
The chair and deputy chair of the Infotronik student research club also took part. I would like to thank all participants, speakers and organisers for their inspiring talks and the exchange of experience. ICDMIR 2025 showed how much universities and IT practitioners gain from working together.
