COMSIA 2025 conference (comsia.in)
COMSIA 2025 conference (comsia.in), dedicated to digital transformation, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. The Infotronik Student Club from Jan Wyżykowski University in Polkowice (UJW) proudly represented Poland on the international stage. The team was led by Professor Zdzisław Pólkowski, supervisor of the Infotronik Club and expert in cybersecurity and digital governance, who delivered a lecture titled: “Methods of Cybersecurity Audits in Public Institutions and Business”
His presentation focused on structured and responsible approaches to conducting security audits — emphasizing how both public institutions and private companies must adapt to modern threats by aligning their operations with international standards and national regulations. Professor Pólkowski discussed the practical implementation of frameworks such as: ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR (RODO), NIS2 Directive, KRI – National Interoperability Framework. Following his presentation, Nikolas Papenfus, student of UJW and leader of the Infotronik student club, presented the practical side of cybersecurity assessments. His live demonstration and insights focused on widely used penetration testing tools, including: Kali Linux for active security testing, OWASP ZAP for web vulnerability analysis, Flipper Zero for physical security audits, wireless signal testing, RFID/NFC emulation, and BadUSB simulation. Nikolas emphasized the role of ethical hacking and the growing importance of offensive security tools in proactive defense strategies — especially in critical infrastructure and IoT-rich environments. The joint presentation highlighted not only the technological aspects of cybersecurity, but also the ethical, legal, and educational challenges that come with teaching and practicing in this dynamic field. Participation in COMSIA 2025 is a major milestone for the Infotronik group and a testament to UJW’s commitment to international collaboration, innovation, and practical cybersecurity education.
